I individually manage a network of approximately 85 workstations scattered around a fairly large building. Due to product incompatibilities with Windows XP Service Pack 2, I was forced to disable the Windows automatic update feature on our network. Obviously, this made keeping our systems up to date a tremendous effort.

In retrospect, this was one of the best things that could have happened. Somehow, I came across GFI LANguard Network Security Scanner while looking for some network management software. Thanks to this product, I am now able to keep our systems more up-to-date than ever before, all without leaving the comfort of my office chair (not that I don't mind walking around the entire building performing mind-numbing tasks).
