GFI announces new E-mail based workflow application

World's first non proprietary e-mail workflow system

Boston, 9th September 1998 - GFI, leading developer of communications software, today launched their new product Emailflow at the Microsoft Exchange Conference in Boston. Emailflow, the first workflow application that does not require any proprietary client software, allows any user with access to an Email client to participate in the workflow process, thus eliminating the need for training, and at the same time enabling companies to include their customers and suppliers in the workflow process. The BETA version of Emailflow will be released next week and the final version is expected to start shipping 4th quarter 1998.

Until now workflow applications required proprietary software, and as a result many systems were cumbersome to install and use, and expensive to buy and maintain. Because Emailflow uses any POP3 client such as Outlook or Eudora, users are instantly familiar with the software and the installation and user administration of the product is straightforward. Furthermore, because of its integration with standard e-mail clients, the workflow system becomes completely transparent, and companies have the possibility to extend workflow to customers and suppliers, allowing them to share in its benefits.

On the server side, Emailflow integrates seamlessly with Microsoft Exchange Server and all open standard SMTP/POP3 mail servers. The BETA version will be available for download from http://www.gficomms.com. Pricing will start at $ 995.
