GFI sells email workflow product to DocMan AG
London, UK, 17 March 2000 - GFI has announced the sale of its email workflow product, Emailflow, to DocMan AG. The sale follows the strategic partnership formed by the two software companies late last month, during CeBIT 2000 in Hannover, Germany.
Emailflow for Exchange is email workflow software that leverages Microsoft Exchange Server and Microsoft Outlook to allow users to manage, track and automate business processes such as order processing, purchasing, sales and support. Because Emailflow does not have any proprietary client software, participating in a workflow is transparent to the user and therefore no additional training is required. This also makes it possible to extend workflows on to the Internet and include suppliers, customers, and so on in the flow.
The product will complement and extend DocMan's document management and workflow software, DocMan for Outlook. DocMan AG has nine years' experience in the development of innovative software and branch solutions. Over 1,000,000 DocMan licenses have been installed to date, as DocMan products are ideal for both the smallest and the most complex terms of reference, and they dynamically adapt to changing demands.
The sale will allow GFI to focus on its core products, namely its Internet and communications tools for Windows NT networks. In addition, under the terms of the cooperation, DocMan will also sell the GFI Internet and communications tools through its network.
