GFI LANguard Security Event Log Monitor tops Microsoft Certified Professional Magazine’s “Determining Who’s Accessing What” category
London, UK, 16 December 2003 – Readers of Microsoft Certified Professional Magazine have named GFI LANguard Security Event Log Monitor as the best product for “Determining Who’s Accessing What,” according to results published in the December 2003 “Products You Love” issue.
“Lots of magazines do Reader’s Choice or Editor’s Choice awards,” said Senior Editor Keith Ward. “What made ours different is that we listed products based on job tasks, not on some esoteric category. These are the products that help readers do their jobs every day, and that’s why I believe they’re especially valuable.”
Voting in 34 categories took place over a four-day period in November among subscribers of the monthly independent publication. More than 900 readers, representing 110,000 subscribers, voted. “We worked hard to make sure the voting was accurate,” Mr. Ward said. “We kept the voting open only a short time, and required information from voters that we could verify, to make sure there was no ‘ballot-box’ stuffing.”
“MCP Magazine readers are hands-on, so when they say they like a product, it is based on real-world experience,” said Reviews Editor Doug Barney. “Those products that won the voting, such as GFI LANguard Security Event Log Monitor, are known for solving problems, saving IT money, and offering competitive advantage. Every winner is a worthy addition to any Microsoft professional’s toolbox.”
